The great intellect tried vainly to reason with them that it was impossible to reveal the future. Standing next to him were the four great teachers, JUDY BAAR, PHYLLIS GELMAN, SANDY SILBERBERG, and MYRA COOPER, who pre- sented facts accumulated from their great knowledge. After their long talks they noticed that the witches never moved. W'ere these oddities of nature capable of moving? If so, how could one manage it? The class of '52 held a long consultation and decided to call in the great Comedian CHARLIE FLATOW, with his accompanists SAL ALTERNATIVE and SHEILA BORUCHOIV. He used his best jokes, and still they never laughed. Then the actors and actresses of international fame, DEBRAH HOCH, EDDIE GROSSMAN, PHYLLIS MITTLER, and SID KLOTZ entered to present their saddest drama, written by the great dramatists SONDRA HERMALIN and ELISA TESTA. No tears came. RAY ABRAMS, PETER HIRSCH, LYDIA LORBER, and ED BRODSKY painted the most beautiful scenes for the play, still no reaction, in fact, the witches fell into a deep slumber. After many attempts to arouse the witches. the blasting PA. system finally succeeded in attracting someone's attention, The witches were awakened!! The great scientists JESSE BLUMENTHAL and FRED LEVINE came to the conclusion that the witches had no emotions. Re- porters FRANK BORELLI and NORMAN OSTROW during this time gave won- derful stories about the event to their editors JOYCE SCHLACT, and NORMAN ROTHSTEIN: thus in turn the news of the trial spread throughout the world. Everyone was completely shocked to read that SANCI COHEN, SARI KLEIN- HAUS and JUDY KRAUT, our foremost social workers, could not break the witches down. Things began to get tense. To make the witches admit that they couldn't reveal the future JOHN SPRIZZO, MARTIN REMNITZ, and LARRY LIGHTER gave them the third degree, one degree for each witch. They refused to answer, on the grounds that it might incriminate them. Still they showed no movement. Perhaps they needed exercise. DANNY TEITLEBAUM, RICHARD KAUFNIAN, PAUL ADELBERG and RAY GUISTIZIA performed some calis- thenics with them. The class of '52 was astounded when the one inch yellow daisy on the outside lawn grew into a grey six foot flower. Upon investigation they found the witches exhaled radio-active Uranium! Calling these professionals cost money, so BARBARA ABRAMS, ROBERTA SONNENSCHEIN, and GLORIA LE BASSI handled all the financial matters, with large sums of money donated by the rich and thriving Lafayette News. The final day of the long drawn out recess approached. Bolstering the crowd's confidence by their remarkable cheers, were CAROL GOLDSTEIN, MURIEL RADOYVITZ, DIANE TESCHER, and AUDREY SIEGMAN. The cheer that did the most to raise the spirit of the intellects was BO-BO-SKI-WAT-IN-DOTIN- EH-EH-EHEH!! Of course three persons seen at all functions BARBARA BACH- MAN, MIMI PEARLMAN, and STUART PERLMUTTER were there. They were selling automatic double purpose broomsticks, one for sweeping, the other for Hying. Up to the curb came the presidential limousine, and out walked our first female president of the United States, MYRNA LINDENBERG. She walked into the courtroom. Silence was called for. The President spoke, Upon much deliberation among the renown scientists, doctors, nurses, lawyers, psychologists, teachers and entertainers, it is my duty as President to declare that witches do not exist. There is no creature in the universe that can predict what the future will be. For it is only determined by the actions and the efforts of the people today. As these words were uttered the three figures vanished into the atmosphere, never to return to this planet. JUDY BAAR PHYLLIS GELMAN
