Ahal l-leres a good-looking fellow, Tall, dark and handsome Tommy Damino. Now he's not so shy . , . Ahal . . . Photographer Dave Fishbein still at it, taking one inch by two inch pictures tonight and selling them for 33,00 apiece. Here comes Priscilla Bader. the editor of Who's Who. and Arlene Wertheim the woman senator. They are both accompanied by their socially prominent husbands. Speaking of prominence, Phil Unger who was voted Deans Benchwarmer back in '48, is now the CoePrincipal of Lafayette . . . Pardon me folks while l order some cookies from the headwaiter lack Silberlicht. And speaking of food, here come three big hams, Stuart Iosephsberg, Eddy Shaitken, and Robert Grobstein. La La Sandler will do a scene from Hamlette. and the rest of the entertainment will be handled by Rita Miller, the Metropolitan Cpera star. Eyes are turning toward the door again as Rachel Orsano and Iean Sparagna come in with a fleet of sailors. Times havent changed much, have they! Theres chemist Muriel Bemhardt talking with Dr. Neil Novin, who is still carefree and cheerful as always. Gil Ionas, the famous lovelorn columnist, is conferring with Irwin Mohr, author of the famous books 'll-lappiness in Hell and Mohr's lnfernof' Nearby is Walter Shea, with eleven little Shea's to make the perfect football team, Vinny Gargano isn't doing so bad either, he has six. Somebody spilled some punch and here comes the chambermaid to clean up. Why it's Rita Orleans! C0n the side, she writes books on politics, lectures on woman suffrage, and is running for President of the United Statesl Talking to one of his pals, is Carmine Serpa, the best dressed boy of the senior class. l-le's wearing the newest things in male fashion, a pink shirt, a blue and yellow striped suit, green silk stockings and black wedgies. Hes still the best dressed man in town, Well everybody, the band is playing the nostalgic strains of Our strong bonds can ne'er be broken, Almost all of the women are dabbing their eyes with their hankies, and all the men are blowing their noses. GAZE INTCD TI-IE CRYSTAL BALL This is your gossipy columnist, Cookie Crino, reporting to you from the Frenchie Boom, atop the famous Nedick's building where the lanuary '48 class ot Lafayette is holding the tirst reunion in ten years. l'm standing near the entrance folks, so l won't miss a trick , . 4 and here comes the orchestra, conducted by Ioe Gallo, Cnow known as loe Gallive and His livin Pivel and featuring Myron Syken on drums and Nathan Levine on clarinet. Lionel Kilberg, who is janitor here, is runnlng over and begging loe to let him play a few numbers with the old gang. loe says okay, and Lionel is on the bandstand! The crowds are beginning to pour in now . , . Here comes Aida Carreras and Diane Goldstein, the tamous models, walking arm in arm with lohn Power- house and l-larry Come-on-over. All attention is now centered on the two large windows at the rear ot this room, A rocket ship in the torrn ot a dragon has just landed on the root. The pilot is taking oft his goggles, and its Ira Ewen, the only human inhabitant ot lflars. Back to the door again. Here comes Edith Seidlitz and her third husband, l, P. Moneybags. Hes short, tat and bald, folks, but hes literally llrolling in dough, Edith is wearing a white mink coat which Qs hanging over one shoul- der and dragging across the lloor. Here comes lack Baumander, the strongest man in the world, tyou remem- ber lack studied physical culturel, Ot course Lena Benson is his wife, still taithtul atter all these years. Ruth Gitow is coming in with her actor husband. Shes his press agent as well as his wite. With them is Phyllis Roizman, the tamous fashion designer and her handsome husband. Phyllis is wearing an original creation, and be- lieve me, its really a creationl Following her are the three best dressed women ot the year, Gloria Dweck, clad in a little glass number, Honey Leikind wearing a creamy milk gown and Kitty Bonanno enveloped in the latest cellophane style. Here comes General Edward Shanahan. Hes tollowed by two other uni- torrns, Sheldon Trombergechiel ot Police and Charlie Bennet, No. l85734 in a black and white striped unitorm. Whats that chain you're dragging, Charlie? Lets take a look where some ol the crowds are gathered. ln this corner Pete Fazio, pitcher tor the Yankees, is having a triendly argument with Al Di Gregorio. intielder tor the Dodgers. lt started out triendly, but put those bats down, boys! Here-'s the bitt surprise ot the evening. Howie Greii who used to work in Ohrbaclis alter school in '47 is now President ol the Company and will sell everything wholesale to all present this evening Twenty -
