STevens likes To see if he can'T produce his doodles wiThouT liTTing his hand Trom The paper once. Q Why do people doodle? ThaT's an inTeresTing guesTion To con- TemplaTe in an odd momenT. Does iT show signs oT TrusTraTion? Does iT indicaTe loneliness-boredom-a yearning or desire Tor someThing? WhaT abouT inhibiTions? Are They expressed in The doodle? Who knows? These were Tound on a piece oT paper-The back oT a leTTer To be exacT. lNoTe The naTuralisT in Miss Goldenbergg The arTisT, is selT- evidenT.l Mrs. MinkoTT oT The Speech DeparTmenT creaTes This liTTle bird in Tour sTrokes when she is lisTening To people speak. This liTTle swan evidenTly brings her solace.
