In going through her POC . located a couple of dollars and decided to go to a fortune-teller to see what became of her f11'St Senior Class of 1955 at Lafayette. D l After reaching the fortune-teller and being seated, Mrs. Calvert began Sazmg mtou the crystal ball. Through the magic spell of the ball she recognized her old claSSI'OOIT1 and 111 the first seat sat the quietest, most co-operative, and the hardest working student she had GVSI' had --Don DeNovellis. Don is now selling Gillette Blue Blades on home plate during the WOI'1Ci Series baseball games. Glancing on down the row, she noticed one of the Home-coming DeNovellis. Barbara is now the Lady in Mink on the Big Pay Off. ln the next seat sat Loretta Damato, who is now practicing nursing at the CitZ6I1'S MiS5i0H on Larimer Street. The next desk is filled by Jon Callihan. Jon is a psychiatrist at the Pueblo Mental Insti- tution. Ramona Bolton sits in the next seat. Ramona now owns the W. W. Woolworth Company and is assisted by her husband, Frank. The next students seen were Jean Blain and Rita Spensieri, whose fame and fortune was caused by their success as lady wrestlers. Next as she gazed into the ball, she saw Dave Hennings and Beverly Alderson, who are now Mr. and Mrs. Hennings. Beverly is manager of the Hub Store, and Dave stays home to care for the house and children when he isn't working as a jet test pilot. First in the next row sat Wilma Pankoski, who is now at Lakeside. She is the lady who has such a tremendous laugh at the fun house, and Kenny Grenemyer runs the air condition unit which keeps Wilma cool. The next two seats were filled by the two Hulstroms, Lois and Ronnie. They have a dance band known the world around. The Hulstroms took Larry Smith along to play the violin for them. Max Holden, who was next in the row, is now coaching basketball in Lafayette High School and runs the barber shop in his spare time. Bill Schofield and Richard Speaker always sat together in school and they are still sitting, in school, of course. Next was Jack Tierney. Jack always did like hunting while in high school. Now he's still hunting when he isn't running the ranch located at the Y. Moving on down the row Mrs. Calvert saw two girls who chummed around together in school--Barbara Lopez and Sharon Littrell. Both attended college and are now coaching the Detroit Lions Football team. Kenny and Bob are playing on that team. Right across the aisle sat Bobbie Hall. Bobbie had plans of taking Ivlrs. Abbott's place as band director, but decided to run the B 8t F Motel instead. The next seat used to be filled by Joyce Miller, but Joyce went into the plumbing business and lost so much weight that she now models for Barbara DeNovellis's Big Pay Off show. Behind Joyce sat Frank Mastriona. Frank now owns the Blue Parrott in Louisville but sends his boy to Lafayette High School. S h 1 for the past thirteen Queen attendants , Barbara Next was Tommy Makris who joined the Naval Reserve in his Senior year. Tom is principal at Lafayette and still attends the Reserve meeting on Tuesday nights. Fred Janke also joined the Naval Reserves but he didn't like the meetings being on Tuesday nights so he changed to the Army. They meet on Wednesday night. At the front of the next row sat Bob Kretsinger. Bob was the Senior Class president and worked hard at it. Now Bob, retired, is living in Africa and is proprietor of his own pool hall. Next sat Bonnie Steppen. Bon joined the Air Force when school was out. She still wears Jack's ring and spends most of her pay sending it back and forth. Manuel Rangel came next in the row. lvlanuel is now the smallest but niightiest wrestler in the nation. You can see him every Tuesday night on Ivl.J.R. Channel 9--- his own TV Station. Next to the last sat Ginni Larreau. Cvinni has taken Miss Harmon's place directing studv halls in Lafayette High School. ' And last but not least, Neil Robinson and Billy Johns. They are singing commercials on Manuel's TV show. So being very pleased with the outcome of her first Senior Class, Mrs. Calvert left for her cottage in Boulder, Colorado, me if 'es 1 LE 553 QHWX P MORE , ,Mk .,,,f- ' Mm .7-. ,gpg nf XT 'AP-fi-x,b 'foo YW NN W 6 351.31 ' EMM W ' . , ,.,, x - 7 -'-- , -r -'-' -v ' - J ' -- Q ,. The story of this three act comedy is of Lelitia Culbertson and her daughters, the aristocrats of Centertown. Their ancestors were said to have come over on the Mayflower, but were in reality, circus performers. No one knows of their affiliation with the circus, and whn Lelitia is caught in a maze of lies, the laughable situations made everyone enjoy the play. The cast of characters are as follows: Lilitia--Eleanor Fonay Arleen--Dawn Pitchford Betty--Sylvia Swink Susy--Dorothy Blaine Tillie--Nancy Barrowman Lou--Denny Rush Frank--Kenneth Zaike Everett--Pat Waneka Jerry--Doug Dinnebeck Horace-- Moses Manzanares Mrs. Bothsford--Roberta Vallery La Belle--Laurel Mayfielfi Buck--Jerry Harrison faking Believe , y A semi-formal dance was given by the Juniors, November 24, in the high school auditorium. The fall festival theme was carried out with decorations of bright crepe paper and autumn leaves. Dave Merrifield's band provided music throughout the evening and featured a drum solo during intermission. Roberta Vallery sang, How High the Moon, and Gloria Martinez and Eddie Abeyta pantomined the record, Sing a Little Song .
