Our parents have furnished the encouragement that we have needed to come this far. We are more grate- ful to our parents than we sometimes show. They have taught us to love, honor, and obey. May they have God ' s richest blessings and shall the rest of their lives be filled with peace and happiness. Miss Ferguson has helped tirelessly and effortlessly to help us through high school. We owe the success of this yearbook to her. ADMINISTRATION AUTOGRAPH ADMINISTRATION Mr. Eugene E. Smith, Principal E. Wayne Demo, Trustee ADVISORY BOARD Delores Bailey, Paul Carbaugh, Lloyd Wright. Richardson Pat Dear Son, Things are fine in Mt. Iddy. There has been a lot of excitement here since you left. The town hall has been made into a beauty parlow for pigs called Swine Haven! Rose Snyder who has her beauty operators license, is working there. She is curling the pigs tails. Oh, yes. Rose has an assistant. You remember Sharon Bailey? Well, she ' s just graduated from college. She works at the Swine Haven as a hog caller. She calls the hogs in one- by-one while Rose curls their tails. Son, your best friend Gerald Lovell just left for Africa yesterday at the request of the community. He is going to try to reform the cannibals before they have him for lunch. The window is open and I can hear Brother Bill Lucas preaching against the evils of fast driving. He convinced everyone that horses are much safer than cars. What we don ' t understand is why he ' s building a round track and clocking all the horses in town. There seems to be quite an uproar over at the train depot. Why, son, Lonnie Lopshire ' s home for a visit. I guess you heard about what a famous lawyer she is in New York. Yep, we have a saying here at home, There ain ' t a case Lonnie can ' t face. Kermit Duff was over at the Music Hall yesterday. He won first prize in the yodeling contest. Luckily there was a talent scout in the audience and Kermit is well on his way of becoming America ' s yodeling idol. Tim Fieghner ran into a little bad luck, I ' m sorry to say, seems as though some prank- ster slipped a triple dose of Grow Fast Pills into his coffee. Land Sakes did that boy grow! If he grows any taller he ' ll be the first lad to reach the moon, without his feet leaving the ground. You remember Loimie ' s brother Lynn Lopshire? Oh, you probably know him by his stage name, Lynden Lops. Well, He ' s coming home tomorrow for the premiere of his new movie. We ' re all so thrilled. He ' s such a big star now. He can ' t be beat when it comes to acting in Shakespear plays. Bob Hulvey is a famous doctor now at the County General Hospital. He ' s doing a fine job in fact all his patients are dying to go back. Oh, by the way Bob ' s first patient was Dwight IXihammel. It seems as though Dwight loves being a tightrope artist. Dwight loves being a tightrope walker, but it did take him a while to get used to those black tights. Steve Gatton made quite a fortune with his book he wrote about a dog, 30 years old called Old Feller. Have you read the book yet. Son. All the women in town can hardly wait until Jim Bowman ' s style show. Of course, you remember that he studied in Paris and gained the title of the world ' s greatest dress designer. Son, your father just came in. He ' s in such a dither. He says that they ' re having a riot down at the Steel factory. It seems as though Linda Bowersock is trying to organize a labor union. Father says she ' s been giving speeches for twenty-four hours straight. I ' ve been working so hard this week that I ' ve decided to go to the Sports Exhibition, Saturday night, to see Linda Rohr. Did you know that she has become a world famous pole vaulter? I was just talking to Judy Bradbury last week. I guess she ' s suppose to be in Spain at the end of the month. Would you ever guess that she would become a fearless bull- fighter? People all over the country come to see her in the arena. We ' re all so pleased with Gary Maitlen has decided to become a missionary for the Mt. Iddy Seminary. Have you heard that Pat Richardson was chosen as the first woman astronaut to go to Mars. Safe landing Pat! Well must go now son. Love, Momma SENIOR WILLS I, Lonnie Lopshire, being of sound mind and body, will my bashful ways and good looks to Judy Beghtel.
