N en .gzniorri 7, A THEME SONG Listen my children and you shall hear the highlights of our senior yearg We don't mean to tease or bring along grins. Listen now our poem begins: LUCILE--Lucy To get our first specimen to Zanesville we go Since that's where her heart is as you all well know. We think Lucile will do all right If she starts gettin' in earlier at night. ANN - -Marthie All thru her life its been her fate To have people mention that distinguishing trait It's Ann's red hair, and we're talking about it. But will she ever dye it?---we sorta doubt it. ROBERTA--Bert Enemy to few, friend to many A match for this girl? There just isn't any We think Roberta would be doing fair If only Joe Comer would stay out of her hair. MAXINE--Mac A jollier lass you've never seen At the realm of laughter, Maxine's the queen In our path of memories she'll make a big crease For tho'ts of her will never cease. NORMA JEAN--Jeannie In here comes the girl with sweet little smile And the laughing eyes you can see for a mile. Many new friends in the future she'll gain Always our friend, Norm will remain. LLOYD--Herm Lloyd's plans for the future are very clearg Five healthy sons he intends to rear. That his basketball team will be girls he has no fears For it takes healthy girls to lead basketball cheers. JOE--Red Have you met Joe? He's the worst pest the world'll ever know When he gets something, he gets it bad, But nevertheless we think the world o' that lad. CLAIRE- -Annie At her dancing blue eyes and her blonde curly hair, Take a second look if you think that you dare But take warning brother, and by all means beware When Dick Parker is around you'd better not stare! RICHARD- -Dick His name is Dick, but we call him Dateg To fail in typing seemed just his fate Until at the teacher he learned to wink Dick's doing better in typing we thinkl P l P DALE--Beef Next on our line, I'm sure you all know, A guy who any girl would like for a beau But when the girls look at him they just turn pale, That's Mrs. Swihart's little boy, Dale. Now that these ten have passed in review And we've told you what we think of you A wish for your future whether near or far: May you always remain as close as you are. For the greatest wealth ten people can save Are the friends made and held from birth till grave. We'd like to get serious for a moment or two, And wish God's guiding care for each one of you. And hope thru the years where e're you roam, You'll always consider Lafayette your home, With your closest friends, wherever they be, These ten crazy kids in the class of '53.
