She was the representative from Mars. After a short chat, was ushered into her streamlined jet automobile. Next the two boys went into the capital of Mars, Orleans. There they met Jack Clark coming from the school, where he was still taking Chemistry. He just couldn't get into college without Chemistry. Jack told the boys that JoAnne Tubolino and Don Yott did finally get married and have a very prosperous farm and three adorable children, and are living outside of Orleans. Then they got talking about real- estate and Jack said, 'Did you know that Rosalind Hughto was the new head of the Wee Willie Realestate Corporat1on Then the boys headed back to their ship. Before they reached there they saw Norma Patterson and her husband Harvey, who were also touring the planets. Norma said they had left their children in a nursery school called, 'Sue Graves's Little Onesn. Sue surprised us all and didn't become a English teacher but married and started a nursery school. 17 , . . . . , I I . J . - X , . ', . - 5. L .I , , , A , . . . . After this great surprlse the boys were mighty bewildered and in quite a daze Charlie unfortunately bumped into a tall, dark man. when the man straightened his hat they noticed it was Ronnie Bauter Ronnie was on his way to Jupiter to sell some new kind of insurance He also runs a enormous truck farm in the innermost part of Mars The boys next stop was Neptune, where they met Beverly Getman ushering three little red heads into a barber shop Bev said she had completed the nurses training course and was now the superintendent of nurses at the large Memorial Hospital They decided to move on because no one else they knew could be found there Upon wondering in space for two days, a large planet loomed into existence It was Pluto There they met Bob Wills driving a new baby blue Ford jet He finally made enough so that he could buy himself a new jet, for his traveling salesman's job The boys visit was cut short because they heard that an old class mate was playing a baseball game that afternoon on Saturn The first thing they saw when they reached there was Bud Lawler running out on the field waving his arms in the air Yes sir, that's Bud, first string pitcher on the Pee Wee Baseball team One of the other players was Dick Ludlow This is one of Dick's hobbies but his real occupation is pearl diving Oh, but who's that coming in the 197h rocket Why, of course, 1t's Charles Galley When they stopped him to talk, he said that every Sunday he went to Pluto to preach in the new church Charles said that Priscilla Kinney had started a Matrimonial Agency and she, herself, advice to the lovelorn Later he said that Dick Burns had remained unmarried in his own private business called Sears Radar Inc Dick so much trouble in high school with women that he decided bachelor After the boys had seen all their old friends, their was giving and was working said he had to remain a two weeks were up so they decided it was best to head their ship homeward Tired from their journey the boys lay back and fell asleep to dream of their adventure of the new planets and their inhabitants Our class of 195k began with great anticipation when we entered ninth grade our class
