We, the Senior Class of 1951, have been as one great family throughout our school years. Various members have been gained and lost during this time. In our first year we lost one of our classmates, Carol Schall, who passed away as a result of tonsillotomy. Later in our high school days we lost another classmate, William Roshia. Soon after leaving school, he enlisted in the army. Last summer word came that he was missing in action. Although we have waited for more news of him none has been received. At this dedication we still earnestly pray that he may return home safely. To these friends, who would have graduated with us, we wish to dedicate our yearbook. idk? All our times, both good and bad, in old L.C.S , Our band, sports, clubs, and all the rest- What happy pages these will be, Bound in our book of memory. After all passengers were called aboard, we left the field for our flight into the Freshman air. Our Naviagator was Mrs. Tracy and she guided us well. Here we selected our first crewmembers as follows, Pilot, Julia Galley, Co- Pilot, Charles Heath, Stewardess and Engineer, Erma Hotis. Our Stewardess list showed that the following passengers were aboard. Marcia Alton, Joan Bauter, David Coffey, Lynn Davis, Richard Fulkerson, Julia Galley, Charles Gillette, Eileen Greenwood, Mabel Harris, Charles Heath, Donald Henry, Elaine Hotis, Erma Hotis, Louise House, Gerald Hover, Clarice La Clair, Bernard Munro, Vernon Seymour, Frances Stanford, Walter Stewart, June Hells, Frederick Zack, and Louise Zang. During one stop for refueling, one passenger left us, Vernon Seymour. He wanted to walk and see the world by foot. A play UBack to Naturen was given class night, June 26, 1948. Our first great flight had been completed. Now we were ready to leave on another mission, this was tc our Sophomore air. Our Stewardess list showed some changes during the first few months. The passengers we lost were David Coffey and Donald Henry. During these months we also added some new passengers to our plane. They were Russell Highway, Donald Tubolino, Dorothy Bowes, and Danitza Bragger. Our Navigator was Mr. Closter, who brought us through some tough air pockets. Our crewmembers for our second flight were selected Pilot, Erma Hotis, Co-Pilot, Julia Gailey, Stewardess, Dorothy Bowes, Engineer, Joan Bauter. During one stop for refueling, Russell Highway, Bernard Munro, and Frederick Zack, boarded another airplane into the great world. During one stop we brought aboard a new passenger, William Groves. This flight was ended with a picnic at Cedar Point. After two years of flying, we were ready to enter our great mission into the Junior air where Miss Arney was our Naviagator. She took us through some rough tail spins but everything turned out all right. Our Stewardess list showed slight changes. Louise House and Donald Tubolino had left us. Our third year of crewmembers consisted of Pilot, Joan Bauter, Co-Pilot, Eileen Greenwood, Stewardess, Erma Hotis, Engineer, Marcia Alton, and Radio Operator, Julia Gailey. As we flew in the air we received many responsibilities. Here we started to fill our parachute with treasures that we could use when we dropped in New York City. Our first entry made into the parachute was the results from our food sale, March 13. Our second entry was made from our Junior play, NMa Simpkins of Simpkinsvillen, given on April 4th. On May 26 we took over the printing of the HLaFarge Reviewu and the selling of ice cream. 28 During the year Clarice La Clair boarded a new plane to seek ad- venture. This year ended with a Junior Picnic at Cedar Point. At last we were in our greatest flight of our histor Thi fl y s ight was to our Senior air, where Mr. Huddleston was our Naviagator. He took us throu h g some rough storms but guided us safely back to our regular C011l'Se . The Stewardess list showed no changes in persons coming aboard, however, Marcia Alton Van Tassel later left us. Here we made up our fourth and final crewmembers as follows, Pilot, William Grovesg Co-Pilot, Julia Gaileyg Stewardess, Elaine Hotisg Engineer, Richard Fulkersong and Radio Operator,Charles Gillette. This was another great year in which we filled our parachute by many successful activities. Our first entry was from our paper drive, next, sale of Christmas cards, food saleg Senior play, NMama's Baby Boyn, sale of stationery, sale of magazinesg selling of hot dogs and soft drinks at basketball gamesg and our donkey basketball game. We also received funds from the advertising to publish our yearbook. when our parachute was full, we circled our airplane over New York City, where we all made a successful landing. Here we spent four days out of our Easter Vacation, enjoying ourselves very much. After the four days, we boarded our NLaFargeville Airliner 51N to continue on our trip. As graduation day came nearer, we set our great Airliner 51N down in the LaFargev1lle Airport with all our great mission complete. Then we were looking forward for graduation from our new and complete auditorium which was built during our senior mission. OndJune 24 we attended Baccalaureate services and on June 25 at our gra ua ion exercises we received our diplomas.
