Janet Nelson wills her ambition to be a nurse to Sharon Gostavich. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes so Eunice Peterson would like Anna Good to have her hair. Sonja Hegeman has inherited Bette Peterson's golden locks. To Larry Passehl goes Bob Peterson's basketball ability. George Bratina gets Manager Rasmussen's ability to give orders. Byron Redwine gets the ability to lie from his brother, Ron Redwine. Carole Rorschach's love of purple goes to Byron Pickering. George Santovi wills his extra strength to John Robinson. Anyone want a car? Bob Sehnert wills his to anyone who wants it. To an unsuspecting juilior goes Don Shimko's trips to Bruce. Louis Bruger will gain much weight from Joe Shimko. Richard Bachar gets Martin Shimko's absence excuses. Craig Smith thinks Bob Rasmussen should have a little of his personality. Joan Smith wants Irene Lunde to have her height. Noreen Bates will receive Gerry Stout's love for bookkeeping. Ida Mae Larson receives Bev Strandt's talent for going with boys from out of town. Alyce Stushek leaves her cheerleading ability to Alice Dennis. Paul Rauhut can have my coronet mute, says Vera Lou Sugg. Ted Priem is bequeathed Rog Tinder's baseball and basketball ability. Rosalie Bicknell will be dancing with Judy Trudelle's partner next year. Privileged Becky Anderson receives Mary Walsforf's horse laugh. Dick Hendricks gets some money-spending talents from Larry Woods. Delores Cook should be happy to receive Jana Wright's shorthand ability. Delores Larson would like her two sisters to have her typing ability. Qfdzfofuy One bright September morning in 1951, a group of youngsters entered LHS's hallowed halls for the first time. This alert looking group was to be the graduating class of 1955. During their freshman year, they elected Wayne Ahlstrom, President, Gene Burbey, Vice President, Arlet Goldsmith, Secretary, and Janet Nelson, Treasurer. During the year, they presented Freshman Return and participated in various activities. In 1952 as sophomores, they elected Ed Baker, President, Dick Horen, Vice President, Winnie Golubiff, Treasurer, and Bonnie LaBerge, Secretary. Activities included the annual Christmas Party with the theme, Wintertime. Five boys played varsity football. The whole school waited for the return of the junior elections. George Leonhard emerged as President and Prom King, Dick Horen, Vice President, Gene Ludvik, Treasurer, and Rosemary Hurley, Secretary. George and Joyce Harwood led the grand march for the prom. The theme was Oriental Gardens. A hilarious comedy, The Little Dog Laughed, was presented for a class play. Class rings were received in February. Early September of 1954 brought the class together to elect Jim Bishop, President, Ron Redwine, Vice President, Joyce Hritz, Secretary, and Marilyn Dahlstrom, Treasurer, Something different was tried in the way of class plays, a musical comedy entitled Golden River. , A large crowd attended the class play. Seventy-two seniors left the school on May 25.
