To work or not to work, that was the question that many seniors asked themselves last fall. Should I devote my time to making money or to school? Jack Nelson managed to hold down two jobs, one at Flotkens and one deli- vering flowers for a family business, while Steve Nicholson worked during the summer and fall as a referee for a youth soccer organization. Ron Kilby is one senior who did not work. He said, Between football and school I had so little time to myself that work was out of the question. Aimee Kornblet said, 'tl gave up my job because the hours conflicted with my schoolwork. Kurt Wulfert has been working at Schnucks for over a year and was recently pro- moted. He said, My work pays for my Jeep and since I can't live without that, I arrange for my working hours to be on the weekends, so as not to con- flict with my studies. lf you ask any senior they will tell you, having money in your pockets can be imperative in times of distress.
