You call ThaT a seminar? MJ' mom ,lg f AT Ladue, sTudenTs gave ex- cuses almosT as ofTen as They Turned in assignmenTs. As mosT Teachers looked aT The siTuaTion, They said ThaT The excuses did noT save The sTudenTs. Mr. Brad Heger said, Excuses are only exercises in fuTiliTy. As well, none of Them are original any more. Mr. Jim Davies added, Their efforT is noT worTh iT, because an excuse only means someThing To The person who made iT, noT me. MosT Teachers believed ThaT The sTu- denTs knew ThaT Their excuses were preTTy flimsy. UnforTunaTely. even when exTensions were giv- en, only abouT half The work was finally Turned in. However, some Teachers, such as Mrs. Marjorie STelmach, rewarded creaTiviTy in excuses: I will give Them Two poinTs on a pop quiz if They can explain why They didn'T read The sTory. Luckily for The sTudenTs, The Teachers were willing To help Them if The sTudenTs did noT give a poor excuse. BuT we sTudenTs sTill wondered whaT kind of ex- cuses our Teachers made when They were our age . . . 9v'f' 73 cu In .I The prinTer was broken. IT helps if you Turn iT on.
