Eudals Finish Second In State The 1978 Varsity Water Polo Team with its new coach, Dan Casey, complet- ed an outstanding season with a record of 20-7. With the loss of Coach Craig Canat- sey at the end of last year's season, many thought the Eudals would have trouble adjusting to new ideas and tactics. How- ever, through hard work and excellent coaching, the Eudals compiled the second best record in the school's history. Seed- ed seventh in the state tournament, the Eudals finished second, losing a close game to top seeded SLUH by a score of 9-8. CoCaptains Bob Chambers and Bri- an Pultman were elected to All State as were juniors Norm Halliday and Andy Guignonj Other outstanding players were Kevin Blinder, Scott Schrader, and Jeff Peskind. The Sophomore Water Polo Team completed a frustrating season without a victory. The Baby Eudals, though lacking in size, displayed a lot of hard work and determination. l Gymnastics Team Strives For Balance The Boys' Gymnastics Team, coached by William Graham, finished an exceptional season of 4-2. The team was lead by senior all-around performers Mike Pepper and Randy Chervitz. Howard Present and Kevin Spirtas both ex- celled in their specialties. The hope of the soph- omores and the juniors is to make next year a more prosperous season for the gymnasts of Ladue. l.
