SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Standing: Bob White, Secretary Dave Salniker, Treasurer dent. CLASS OF 19 9 The class of 1959 can well be proud of its six years at Ladue. They have been both profitable and memorable. In seventh and eighth grades, we began to in- tegrate as a class by sharing experiences of new friends, new activities, and new studies. Ninth grade was a period of transition between junior high and high school. The class met it in stride. We had our own athletic teams and cheer- leaders. And we had our own parties topped by the Freshman Sports Party. As sophomores, the class of 1959 dedicated it- self completely to high school life. We participated in Student Council and Ram's Den, and the many teams and clubs of Ladue. We originated the Holly Drive, which financed the Winterlude. This mem- orable dance, entitled Winter Wonderland, the Sophomore Float, and the Sophomore Slop Hop were the other big projects in 1957. As the junior year progressed, it proved to be the best yet. We headed the parking lot and the snack bar. These provided funds for the fabulous Junior Trip to Washington D.C. A National Honor Society chapter was founded at Ladue. The year ended with the Junior-Senior Prom, with a -theme of Summertime As seniors, we became the leaders of Ladue. The Student Council, under our leadership, estab- lished a new social code and student code, and be- gan raising funds to support a foreign student. The senior class put on the Football Prom, after an un- defeated football season. Throughout the year we were commended for our superior leadership in sports, activities, and scholarship. Vie, of the class of 1959, can never forget our wonderful years at Ladue. They will, indeed, be treasured memories to be kept all our lives. 9 Seated: john McCullough, Vice- President, Larry Zempel, Presi-
