SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Of the sixteen members who entered LaCrosse High School in September, l9h6, only eight will be present to graduate on May 22, 1958 The members of the graduating class are Jack Berkshire, Barbara Prench, Gary Heinold, John Holmgren June Lichtwark, Glenn Pfeifer, Ella Rezac, and Pat Stuck The other members of the first grade class were Barbara Beebe, Billy Dewitt, Robert Groves, Patricia Leffert, Ange- line Mendyke, Jerry Piledderer, Randy Porter and Mary Ann Surlach Other students who sojourned with us at various tlmes at LHS were Jay Kendall, Patsy Leifert, Lloyd Christoph Nancy Curry, LaVerne Hurby, Wllliam Phillips, Stanley Marks, Dorothy Meeks, Jack Rust, Kenneth Albee, Eleanor Hurt, Verne Hutchins, Darlene Hutch1ns, Wilma Edds, Alana Howard, Dale Freeman and Donald Reed The members of our graduating class joined us in the lollowing grades Jerry Raderstorf Irom Knox and Judy Smok er Irom Prairie Township joined us in the second grade, Pat Tesmer irom Michigan City and Ronald Florer from Tefft joined our class in the sixth grade, Darl Shreve came from Medary ville during the seventh grade, and Mildred Bennett Joined our class in our Senior year from Pensacola, Florida Our teachers and sponsors were as follows First and second grade, Mrs Leona Weiss, Third grade, Miss hlva Shine barger, Fourth grade, Mr Marcus Hunt, Fifth grade, Mr James Howell, Sixth grade, Mrs Cleo Conlon, Seventh and eighth top, Tenth and eleventh grades, Mr Stanley Walters, and Twellth grade, Mr Jay E Waskom We shall always regard as highlights of our school life the initiation into high school and the Junior play, The Boarding House Reach ' We also recall the excitement ot or dering and recelving our class rings In our last year of school we received our Senior pictures and looked forward to our graduation We shall never Iorget our Senior trip, the Junior Senior Prom, and the night we graduated Irom LaCrosse High School THE CLASS OF SU QP' 15 0 1 9 : ' ' , grades, Mrs. Gladys Jones, Ninth grade, Mrs. Goldie Sieden- I1 1

SENIOR CLASS PROPHLECY Midway airport was a busy place when I arrlved to take a plane for Paris, France this summer. The LHS class of '58 was holding their first reunion there I smiled as the port er took my luggage, for this would be a busman's holiday for I have been an airline hostess for the past two years. Boarding the plane, I saw Judy Smoker sitting with John Brust from Union Mills They told me they had just gotten married and were going on their honeymoon As I was looking out the window, I noticed a woman running frantically toward the plane Suddenly, I realized that it way my old school chum, Barbara French No, she hadn't changed much She took a seat beside me and we started talking about old times She said she had Iinally married Bill Bennett They had been married four years As we were talking, a sick passenger be hind us insisted on seeing the pilot We weren't paying too much attention until the pilot came out and who do you think it was but Jack Berkshire He had gone through with his am bition to be a com ercial pilot He said he and his wife were coming to the reunion Night was falling so we both decided to catch a wink of sleep We arrived in New York a little while later We were to the lounge we were surprised to find Pat Stuck We joined her lor some coffee and found out she was still single but was expecting an engagement ring in the near future She told us she was a private secretary to Darl Shreve, who was a prominent architect As I finished my cup of coffee, I was startled by screeching sirens coming from the vicinity of the airport I discovered that the Naval Admiral arrived and was to fly on the very same plane I caught a glimpse of him as he boarded the plane and was very much astonished when I saw it was Jerry Raderstorf I then boarded the plane and arrived in Paris in the morning I hailed a taxi to take me to the Hotel Parisienne A I climbed in I realized the driver was my old schoolmate, Gary Heinold He told me he was married to June Lichtwark I arrived at my destination and bid him farewell As I was entering the hotel I encountered the doorman, John Holmgren He told me he had become a doorman, for this was the only way he could forgetl In the hotel lobby, I passed Millies' Dress Shop and on a hunch I entered Sure enough it was my old southern? classmate, Mildred Bennett, now a well known designer She invited me to go with her to the Big Bulge Night Club where Pat Tesmer and Gene Goad were on their way to stardom as dancers While dining with her that evening, Glenn Pieifer and his wire visited our table The reunion was the next day so we all decided to call it a night The class reunion was a glorious one All attended Ron Florer came with three models clinging to his arms H was still single but now a millionaire after manulacturing the biggest and most valuable space satellite, Catnip Yes, indeed, the old class of '58 spirit had not died not at alll ELLA REZAC CLASS OF '58 14 , ag? me. change planes here for our flight to Paris. I, June Lichtwark, do will and bequeath my ability chew gum quietly to 'Juicy' Jackson. I, John Holmgren, do will and bequeath my winning smile and my warm personality to Harry Raderstorf. I, Ella Rezac, do will and bequeath my ability to lead cheers to anyone who is overcharged with school spirit. we, the Senior class, do will and bequeath our sponsor, Mr. Waskom, to any of the classes that will be lucky enough to get him. we, the Senior class, do will and bequeath to Mr. Zie- linski a wolf whistle and a beaver tail for his Pontiac.
