Ne had 26 children in OU1 room when school started. ln October of '55, Alfred Dickmeyer enrolled, making 27. ' Then during the Christmas holidays Peggy Bell moved to LaPorte and in January Al- fred moved to Hanatah. This left us with twenty-five. Eddie Colliton will also leave us in Aoril to go to live in Oki- nawa. That means Eddie will be several days on a large ship. We know he will enjoy this trip. We have three reading and phonetic groups in our room. We like phonetics and most of us like to work out new words. It is fun when we know our sounds. We enjoyed the rhythm band we had be- fore Christmas. We first keep time on oatmeal boxes and then we used toy in- struments. With the boxes we made Hol- land windmills. We also learned why this country has to use windmills. Unity Chevrolet Cc. LaCrosse Sheely's Department Store LaCrosse
