This year we began with thirty-two pupils. Two have moved away, leaving thirty to complete the term. Pupils and teachers are enjoying the new quarters, made by combining the old storeroom and shower room. This gives us a pleasant light room and we have the old gym for games and folk dancing. fAbsent when group picture was takenj Kathryn Kunzler, Steven Sommerville, Susan Riehle Compliments of: f Sheely'5 l General Merchandise Store 'G vv .,I ,W 2, 3 ' if 1 JL jf 44? La Crosse Sentinel SX JIM LIEDKTY 5 fr. 10 in.--Junior Plays Guard J , The team this year was one of the most balanced in the county. The Tigers finished the season with a 16-5 record and were the co-champs of the county con- ference. La Crosse had tough luck in the drawing of the county tourney and was pitted against a strong Union Township team. The team came through with a thrilling victory 56-53. It was still atough row to hoe, for now the Tigers had to face one ofthe top contenders for the county crown, the Union Mills Millers. The boys really proved that night how they could play ball by triumphing over the Millers 39-37. The next after- noon came the discouraging downfall of the Tigers, as the Blackhawks of Westville downed the mighty five 41-39. Many say that if it hadn't been forthe Tigers, the tourney would not have been so exciting.
