For his sincere interest in promoting the best in education at Laconia High School, for his readiness to serve both faculty and students, and for the bright memories we keep of his cheerful friendliness, we, the graduating class of 1955, humbly and gratefully dedicate this yearbook to STANLEY E. SPuNcu11. Wwngg, Mr Spencer was born in Wollaston, Massachusetts, on April 16, 1908. He received B.A. ind MA degrees from Boston University and studied further at other universities. His teaching experience began at Mapleton, Maine, continued at Laconia High School and at Antrim Hlgh School where he was principal. He returned to Laconia in 1945 as head of the Commercial Deplrtment One of his important positions was that of treasurer of the Act1v1t1es Fund He belonged to many local and national organizations and had many interests, especially music He was assistant organist of the Congregational Church and played in other churches as well He died at the Laconia Hospital on May 15, 1954. ..
