We ar- rived at the Senior High School at lO A.N. This building is very large end impressive looking. As soon as we entered the buildin a boy stationed there for this purpose div rected us to the Lecon room and there we left our instruments, and changed into our Band uniforms. Then, since we still had some time before tuning up, we went down into the auditorium and heard some of the other Bands that were in Class D. Ccompetitorsl About ll A.M. we met Mr. Saxton four direct orl and with his help we did some very fine tuning. Mr. Saxton then gave us,a Npepn talk and Rock Island gave us a Uweloomen . Since the results weren't to be posted till 1 P.M., we left and ate dinner We were so proud of ou uniforms that we wore them the rest of the dey. lt was around tw when we came back to the school to find out the results. There we found that we hadn't beaten Sparland but at least they hedn't beat en us either. Lacon, Sperland, and Byron were the three Bands winning first places in Class D.
