Xa.QE,DlQAI lQ!1! mf uring the past four years, we, the members of the graduating class of nineteen hundred and fifty-two, have experienced the countless anxieties, joys, fears and labors that form a well rounded program of high school life. Among other activities we have expended our energies in athletics, dramatics, choral work, dances and multiple other extra-curricular activities. However the one common bond which has united us all, is our work in the classroom .... our scholarship. lt is true that many other happy, though less consequential activities, have influenced our school days, but primarily, we have learned of the importance for hard work and scholarship. Without this training of the mind and will to guide our actions, all our labors would be ill-directed and haphazard Through the efforts of our teachers, we have matured to the point where we appreciate the necessity of scholarship, and the subsequent advances in knowledge. These advances are constantly required of any nation wishing to prosper in this modern age. They are demanded of a Leader of Nations such as the United States is today. Without citizens who will progress in these lines, our nation will fail, fall and follow. Whether we, as students, were brilliant or average, we all grew to appreciate the great truth and strength which is to be reaped from conscientious scholarship. From four years of study we have extracted the great lesson that scholarship is a daily, continual process by which we have en- riched our lives and given depth to our souls. Not one of us look back over these years and say that we have not come away with a greater understanding of life through our work in the classroom. We sincerely feel a pang of regret at leaving our school, but a firm resolution springs into our hearts which promises, that after graduation, our scholarship, not only in books, but of the quest for' a knowledge of how to master the art of life, will survive. Therefore, with this in mind we humbly look to the future and dedicate ourselves and our class to ..... scholarship. 2 -I'
