I I C' EN to govern themselves need ideals--ideals that inspire a willingness to believe in, to live for, as well as to die for democracy. Men are not born with these idealsg they must be developed. And, this development is attained only through constant practice in situations resembling those which the mature citizen must face. It is with this thought in mind, that we, the Class of 1950, proudly dedicate our year- book to the Student Council. This organization teaches ideals and provides a wholesome and satisfying experience in democracy for the student while contributing to the effective- ness of the school's program.
