Haiieiiaff Cheerleaders, cheering section, and team unite to make basketball the most popular sport of Laboure High School. ln spite of difficulties, Miss McAteer, our coach, has developed a high-spirited, though not always high-scoring team. Sophomores. Iuniors, and Seniors boast of repre- sentatives on the varsity squad. When the season began hopes ran high. but the keen competition offered by excel- lent teams from other schools soon showed clearly that determined effort and unremitting work were necessary to keep in the struggle. The end of the season showed a record of four games won. nine lost, and two tied. However, Laboure is justly proud of the spirit of good sportsmanship that was evi- dent on every occasion. Our Sophomore identical twins more than once caused visiting players to wonder if they were experiencing an optical illusion -how could a player be in so many places at once. It can be said in all truth that, though often defeated. Laboure team has never been vanquished. It has shown real ability. and-better still---has won the confidence of the entire school. l43l D.
