Three officers from the Seniors and one repre- sentative from each class group are elected by the entire school to serve on the Council, They meet every Monday under the special guidance of Sister Clotilda. Ar the meeting the girls discuss the current problems brought from the classes by their representatives. Questions are asked, opinions given, and suggestions made, On the morning following the meeting the representatives give their classmates a resume of the Student Coun- cil meeting. It is here that the girls receive instructions, their questions are answered, and recommendations are put into execution. The Student Council. besides giving the girls the chance to participate in school govern- ment, tends to develop character and to foster a just pride in the school. ln addition to at- tempting to solve problems, the Student Coun- cil plans educational assemblies, encourages drives, conducts contests, and heads commit- tees for various activities during the school year.

KA Ord K With a song in their hearts and on their lips the members of the Choral Club under the skilled direction of Sister Winifred have generously contributed to many events of the school year. Since its organization in 1942 this group has been continually active. Starting the year out on a good note. the girls lifted their voices to invoke the Holy Ghost at a Mass celebrated at St. Philip Neri Church early in September. This year at Christmas the Club's per- formance was particularly good. lt delighted the holiday audience, lending to the evening an atmosphere suggestive of the heavenly carolers of two thousand years ago. Their last rendition of the year was on class night towards the end of May when they entertained the parents of the students and bade farewell to the Class of '47, Sister Winifred. Director. Brandt-nbcrg. ymifdenil The main purpose of the Mothers' Club is to supplement the work of the faculty in secur- ing for the girls advantages which shall most benefit them. The two main activities sponsored by the Mothers' Club are their annual card party and the Iunior-Senior ball: the latter which is ar- ranged entirely for the pleasure of the students. This year the Mothers' Club presented us with a motion picture projector and provided a fund which will enable the faculty to purchase both educational and entertaining films. A flagpole was erected in front of the school and the grounds were landscaped with evergreens and other shrubberv' all of which have con- tributed to beautifying the school campus. The present group of officers appear on this page. Laboure is grateful to them and to the other mothers whose unselfish co-operation and assistance have done so much to insure success and enjoy ment. 37 .Wotfiers Arc Always On The fob
