fmy Jream are 5 5 Afferfhp 1?ea,zgf.7 Although stars have for ages symbolized success and lofty aspirations, these illusive celestial gems that still escape the expanding power of man have lost none of their power to inspire ideas and deeds. Oun 1967 PARKAN theme was selected because of this symbolic connotation. Certainly, hard working imaginative stu- dents 'have set the mood this year with their accomplishments and dreams. Individually and in groups, many students have, by sheer hard work and some luck, brushed the glitter from the rays of success. These radiant moments accompanied the successful presentation of each concert and play, the coronation of each queen, the distribution of grades, and, for the yearbook staff, the com- pletion of this, your 1967 PARKAN. Aiming for the future, students, faculty, and trustees have united to promote a new campus. Enthusiasm, unfelt before, was generated by this new purpose as plans were proposed, argued, and defended. With these thoughts in mind, we have assembled this yearbook to reflect the feeling of 1967. We hope this PARKAN will become a symbol of your edu- cational experiences, and that the successes of 1967 will become the inspiration that helps change present dreams into future reality. -The Editor 96.7 fewer- fanef fifefvffmz llllltEIlt5 Dedication Board of Trustees Administration Sophomores Freshmen Activities Royalty Honor Roll Sports Snaps Faculty Boosters Index Page 2 4 5 7 27 37 49 62 65 75 89 92 95 Page Three
