Page Two EDICATICDN Mr. C. H. Franklin Teaching in the departments of biology, psychology, and industrial arts, he has acted in many capacities in our school system. In the field of sports, he has been a coach, an athletic director, and an ardent Cardinal fan. For his 34 years of service in Parsons, his understanding and inspiration to all students, and our fondest affection for him, we, the annual staff, proudly dedicate the 1965 PARKAN to Mr. C. H. Franklin.

And Miles to Go . . . To every student, a graduate leaves a legacy that unites with that of the more than 4,000 graduates and the addi- tional thousands of students that have acquired from 15 to 50 hours' credit in this college. As each student completes his junior college career, he bequeaths a part of himself to the coming sophomores. Since the first graduates of Parsons Junior College in 1923, self-respect, pride of school, stamina, and the ability to co-operate with fellow classmates and teachers have been the most-valued bequests. Strengthened by the ideals and knowledge gained here, those who earn a diploma or merely take subjects are ready to face a long courageous life ahead. The college, too, with almost half a century of worthy service behind her looks forward to a successful future. May this ParKan record the joys and pleasures of one year's mile of that long road that leads confidently ahead. -The Editor DON JONES, Pm'Kan Editor WDC: P Kem 965 CONTENTS Page Dedication 2 Administration 3 Board of Education 6 Sophomores 7 Freshmen 24 Royalty 33 Honor Roll 44 Activities 47 Sports 61 Retrospect 73 Faculty 90 Advertisements 92 edited lou the journalism elcisses il3c:1rsons Junior College IDcirsons, Kcmsos
