ofzewofzd I The 1964 ParKan has been a group effort. It is the com- bination of endeavors by many persons, as it should be. The contributions each staff member has made vary from large to small, but each has been beneficial in preparing the type of yearbook that our school deserves. Photography was performed by .lan Lewis of the staff and Kent Cunningham of the Parsons Sun. Leon Crooks Studio and Platter's Photography processed the pictures. The Sun Engraving Company and the Carpenter Press have done their best to see that your yearbook is of superior technical quality. To E. F. Farner, former dean, the staff is indebted for the picture of the first assembly in 1923. Appreciation should also be extended to faculty member Don Staten for his splendid art sketch and to photographer Kurt Jafay for his ParKan royalty selections. Certainly not unforgotten are the ParKan promoters, the businesses and other individuals who have aided our finances with their advertisements. Guidance and encouragement by Miss Eugenio Harrison and Dean Charles Thiebaud directed the publication away from costly mistakes and time-consuming delays. It is the intention of this annual to show pictorially and editorially the academic and social functions .of this college. The goal was to represent the atmosphere in such a way that a person could relive a bit of it no matter when he should chooseito open this book. Staff members sincerely hope they have fulfilled all these ideals. Each day has been an educational experience. The Editors
