The 1971-72 Pirate Varsity Basket- ball Team consisted of tleft to rightj Sammy Tullos, Freddy Losak, Kenny McAninch, johnny Berry, Mark Donnell, Robert Mileur, Glen Machan, Ronalf johnson and Ant- hony Cepak. In spite of this year's downfall with only one win, the Pi- rates hope to have a strong come- back next year with most of this year's players returning. The team faced tough competition from a AAAA district. Next year's play will be against the AAA district La Vega left year before last. Coach Robert johnson, assisted by Coach Tommy Holbrook, saw his first year as a varsity basketball head coach. Next year, the young team and young coach should show the maturity that comes from a year of tough opponents.
