The LVHS Singers is a madrigal group chosen from the larger choir. The Singers represented the choir at civic meetings during the year. Members were ffront rowl Betsy Campbell, Beasley Reece, Debbie Coleman, Trevor Dugger, The Girls Trio won first division at Baylor. In the trio were Lana Mayo, Beverly Webb, and Debbie Coleman. E Beverly Webb, Csecond rowl Lana Mayo, Ruth Polansky, David Carver, Becky Adams, Kay McCutcheon, fthird rowl Fred Sherman, Nancy Williams, Steve Moore, Liz Chism, Gene Adams, and Ester Brown. The LVHS Singers and the A Capells choir made several seasonal appearances before the student body prior to the Christmas and Easter holidays. Special concerts were given for the public at those times. The two choirs and the trio and quartet per- formed for parents at the fall open house and also at a Spring concert in April. At contest, the group came away with many honors. The quartet and trio Won first division ranking at the solo and ensemble contest held at Baylor University February 21. The Interscholas- tic League contest in April also brought the choir recognition. The choirs were directed by Miss Carol Kelly who transferred from the Intermediate School faculty where she worked in 1968-69.
