Money from Student Council projects paid for the cement quadrangle built in the spring and for ma- terials to landscape it. Homecoming Means Tradition Homecoming means a time to look back and a time to look forward. Exes return to familiar traditions of bonfires and celebrations. Students look back to these same traditions, and they look forward to the day when they will be the ones coming back. Festivities October 2 and 3 included the bonfire and pep rally. The game was against Mexia's Black Cats who trampled the Bucs during the last half, finishing with a 28-12 win. But the loss didn't seem to stop the spirit of celebration. After the game, a dance and reception for exes and students was held in the new gym. C'heerleader Donna Woodliff was caught in the excitement of the bonfire rally. In her mind was the hope that she f 'X might be chosen Homecoming Queen. 9
