ANN BUSH JANET BISHOP FRAN BUDKE FRAN BUDKE NAMED OUTSTANDING SENIOR IN G.A.A. The Girls' Athletic Association at La Sierra promotes general interest in girls' athletics and fosters the highest ideals of good sportsmanship and a spirit of loyalty and cooperation. Membership in the association is open to all girls of La Sierra High School. This Spring the juniors and seniors in G.A.A. nominated five senior girls for the outstanding G.A.A. award. They were chosen on the follow- ing qualities: points and attendance in G.A.A.; scholastic average; depend- ability, cooperation, attitude, and responsibility; leadership; contribution to G.A.A. From the top five girls, the G.A.A. advisors chose one outstanding girl. This year Fran Budke was selected. She received an individual trophy and her name will be the first engraved on the G.A.A. perpetual trophy dis- played in the main hall. Fran's accomplishments in G.A.A. were captain of various sports; sports manager; historian; junior representative; vice president; and on several committees.
