Robinson, C Cpl. C. Geske. CALIFORNIA CADET CORPS OF LA SIERRA HIGH SCHOOL The La Sierra High School Cadet Corps is one of over one hundred and fifty such battalions in California. Our Cadet Corps is designated as the 31st Battalion commanded by Cadet Captain Chuck Bridges. The Corps' many objectives include developing qualities of leadership; providing a basic military knowledge to the cadets; assisting the school in educating youth for good citizenship; developing a sense of real and solid patriotism; and encouraging all cadets to develop a standard of all-round good scholarship. Each year the cadets participate in many activities such as rifle team meets, drill competition, basic and advanced leadership school, and annual bivouacs. 135

LATIN CLUB The big event of the Latin Club was the an- nual Roman Banquet pre- sented this year on April 23. The members dressed, ate, and were entertained as Romans were in their day and age. The after-school activ- ities of the CLOC Club (Christian Living on Campus) were outside speakers, several films, quizzes and panel dis- cussions. The group attended many activities together such as youth rallies and football games. The main social activity of the dub was Funspi ration” held in the Spring. Mrs. Billie Chmelka was the advisor for the group.
