This Council initiates plans for and schedules all of the clubs’ activities. Portions of these plans are then presented to the individual Pep Clubs for completion. Each Pep Club has presented student rallies, participated in a candy sale to raise funds for an outfit for the school mascot, and put across a tremendous food drive at Christmas time for the Carmichael Rotary Club. This year’s Pep Clubs have been responsible for between game rallies and for a generally high level of school sport enthusiasm. In spring the Pepstcrs again sponsored Carrot Day. 24 Left to right: S. THE BRANDING IRON One- word, ''Pandemonium,'’ described the daily happenings in L-3. As the mail must go through, so must the school newspaper. The Branding Iron Staff is constantly digging up news for articles, features, and columns. Above the clicking of typewriters, flashing of flashbulbs, and well . . . confusion, the busy editors can be seen putting pictures here and stories there to complete the newspaper. The Branding Iron is as important as the classroom books, for it informs the students of the school happenings— things to come or things that have happened. The Branding Iron has survived through the confusion of this year, and it will be here many, many more. The Staff BARBARA CORBETT CAROLYN WEBB ELIDA HOMER MRS.
