The games, held Thursday nights in the Commons, resulted in some tense moments and sometimes amusing incidents. The College Bowl program was set in motion by the ASLLU and was organized by Barbara Scofield. In the final play-offs, a quartet from the Biology department captured its fourth straight win in a game with the English department team. In March, an All-Star team was sent to Union College in Nebraska to compete with teams from nine other Adventist colleges in North America. The team, composed of Don Ashley, John Carothers, Dave Thomsen, and captain Nancy Hoyt, placed third among the ten rival teams.
