President's Message It is said of one of the great characters of history that he went out not knowing whither he went. For this act of courage and faith Abraham was later called the Father of the Faithful. Today the action of Abraham is repeated on a miniature scale by hundreds of youth who enter La Sierra College. They are here upon a great adventure in faith. To many of them the objectives seem distant and difficult of attainment. Attending college, they find, is a real experience in living by faith. However, not only the students but also the faculty and the staff of the College are engaged in an enterprise of faith. For the entire program of Christian education is a great experiment based on faith-faith on the part of the faculty and staff, the students, and the College constituency. Now there is something exhilarating about faith. lt is not blind: rather it sees the objectives afar off. Therefore, we may all with complete assurance be dedicated to our task, knowing that the ends are attainable. Faith will culminate in reality. It is one purpose of this METEOR to remind us in future years of the happy days when attending La Sierra College was a robust and vital part of a life-experience in which faith was an integral factor and ended in achievement.
