AND MEET PRESIDENT -we . ,XZ 1 V :lv A ., come short of exploiting potentialities inherent in our situation. lntellectual advances have been madeg qualitative and quanti- tative requirements have been fulfilled. Unless commensurate spiritual and moral progress has been maintained, our multi- farious activities have been bootless. The cries of our needy world impress us vividly with the need for Christian young people with proper training, with a message cf hope, and with boundless vision. Unless La Sierra College has brought to its students a radiant faith and a conviction of their high destiny, it has come short cf the dreams cf his founders. It must measure its graduates in terms cf service rather than from the standpoint of affluence and material success. Our prayers and good wishes go with the members of the gradu- ating classes of l948 as they assume new responsibilities. Together we go forward to meet the challenge of a needy world, together we gird ourselves to complete the task committed to the church in this closing hour. K-77
