The men who have served on 'rhis board have been men of sound iudgmenl' and experience, men of vision, men of faifh, and men of foresight The success of La Sierra College has been due in a greal measure +o ihese men who have guided fhe College and promoied iis advancemenl' ihrough +he pasl' +wen+y-+wo years. We wish 'ro pay special 'rribuie +o one of ihe men of vision of ihis board, Elder David Voih, who served as chairman of 'rhe board for eighl' long years, from I936 lo I944, during which +ime 'rhe College grew lo a full-fledged iunior college and 'then io a senior college. ln July of I944 +he College became a Union Conferenceinslilulion and lhe board was re-organized. A+ 'rhis lime Elder L. K. Dickson, +he Union Conference Presidenl, became +he presidenl' of ihe Board of Trus'I'ees. He coniribuied much in advancing lhe s1'a+us of ihis insliluiion +o +ha+ of a senior college. March 27, I945, Elder W. B. Ochs, lhe newly elecled presidenl of 'rhe Pacific Union Conference, became presidenl' of +he Board of Trusiees. H' is wi+h confidence 'rhal' 'rhe faculiy and board loolc +o his leadership in promoiing ihe cause of Chrisiian educalion.
