He is a firm be- liever that the school must offer subjects and courses of study varied enough to meet the needs of all. 11937 Ell Ess Pel Barbara Stasiak Rita Thorpe Bill Bertusi The 1920's saw improvements in the physical plant and progress in acade- mics at L-P. The Bureau of Educational Counsel in 1923 was formed to assist the student in achieving maximum per- sonality development, and for voca- tional guidance and placement. ln 1924, the La Salle-Peru-Oglesby Junior College was established, de- signed to give the young people of the area the advantage of the first two years of college training. The first fresh- man class had 32 members lThe 1960 class will graduate approximately 1101. The person who has stood behind the Junior College for 35 of the 36 years of its existence is Dean Harry L. Wilmot. Dean Wilmot has announced his re- tirement at the conclusion of the 1960- 1961 school year. His influence and in- terest in college students will not soon be forgotten by all associated with the Junior College. The 1927 Ell Ess Pe contained the first inclusion of J.
