His condition grew steadily worse and on Sunday, October 13, he passed away. His death came as a great shock to his many friends in the tri-cities. He was buried on VVednesday, October 15, in Oakwood cemetery. FRANCIS FLAHERTY Francis Flaherty, a prominent member of the class of 1915, left for the army on August I, 1918, and was sent to Camp Wheeler, Georgia. He was reported on the sick book on January 3 and was sent on to the base hospital. After he was given two weeks treatment for ear trouble, the physicians decided that he ought to be sent back to the States for treatment.
