To Asirologers' Delighi I You Were Born on a RoHen Dag . . . or just Claude the chem- istry teacher? Could this be the infamous Ptolemy? Plag Leads +0 3 Promising Fu'rure This year's fall play, YOU WERE BORN ON A ROTTEN DAY. introduced many new faces to the LaSalle stage. The play was a change of pace from the likes of BECKET and ADVIS AND CONSENT; it was a light comedy whose only purpose was to entertain. And the cast fulfilled this purpose admirably. BOB BUCHTMAN, in his first role at LaSalle, played the part of Claude Jones. science teacher turned goofy astrologer, to the full. Other major roles were filled by BRIAN HEM- PLE, TIM VAN DRIESSCHE, DALE SCHUSTER, JACK GREINER. JOAN INDERHEES, and ANN PIERSON. Over half the cast was made up of talented freshmen and sophomores who promise a. fine future for LaSalle's stage tradition. .. .A null - Tim V. and Ptolemy B.

28 The Lancet Basketball team finished the season with a dis- appointing 4-16 record, including two tournament games at U.C. Considering the many obstacles the team had to over- come, the toughness of the schedule and player inexperi- ence, to name two, the record is not indicative of the poten- tial on the court. With the heavy graduation loss of last year's eight top players, this year seemed destined to be a rebuilding one. With more football players on the team than any other previ- ous year the team opened the season sluggishly . It took the personnel on the team time to become accustomed to each other's playing style . Looking toward next season, Mr. Cady commented, Pur- cell and LaSalle will have the most returning players next year. This year the players gained valuable experience and, with the addition of some talented reserves. next year's team looks very encouraging. Resv. B. Schroeck goes up with opponent.
