A Roman Holiday Homecoming W - - 1F '- Tim Van Driessche and Queen Beth Ross r in THE ANNOUNCEMENT by Duane Day and Kevin Burrill. Homecoming week began on October 7, this year and concluded October 12, with the Homecoming Dance. The LaSalle's Ball- room was decorated by the Homecoming Committee led by Br. Paul Meyer. This year's committee was headed by Duane Day, Kevin Burrill, Bob Dorsy, Bill Wietzel, Pat Walsh, Joe Groh. John Healy, Mike Carr, Mike Heckler, and Jerry Welling. Our queen this year was BETH ROSS, a senior at McAuley H.S. Her court consisted of Francie Brennan, Jaycie Canning, Debie Colina, Kathy Rieder, and Lisa Wise . Our Grand Marshal was MR. ROBERT BOLLIN who was presented a plaque , at the queen's assembly, honoring him for his outstand- ing dedication to LaSalle . The queen and her court eh The. Red Army

All +he Wag Wi+h Josie Varsi+g Soccer Wins G.C.L. LaSalle's varsity soccer team opened its season with a good start, faltered for one game, and came on strong to finish lst in the G.C.L. The Lancers then went imo tournament play by knocking off two teams, but losing to the state champs, Finneytown. Greg Cross and Joe Giesting provided almost all the offensive power for the Lancers this season. Greg scored 12 goals and Joe amazingly shot in 20 . They were also helped by Paul Kroner, Kevin Sueberling. and Dan Cross. The halfback positions were outstandingly played by Paul Hoblitzell, Tim Van Driessche, and Dave Stier. The outstanding defensive player and also goalie was Bruce Thompson who had 3 shutouts. Head coach, Joso Villalobos. said it was the best team ever. . ?,ggrhshr 1 Paul H. keeps eye on ball. R.
