Fall Plag Becke+ For its fall production this year the drama department chose the modern classic BECKET. Mr. Sauerbrey had been holding this script for a number of years wait- ing for the cast and the time to be tight to do it justice. The results proved that the time was right. It would be impossible to give credit to each person whose inestimable con- tribution helped to make this show a fine success. The cast. to a man, did an outstanding job. The crews measured up to the most demanding, technical show the school has attempted. The two leads deserve special mention. Bob BrunneI who played the role of Henry 11 created one of the most memorable Characters that has appeared on the stage. Bob has appeared in every show during his four years here: as Henry he reached a real peak. Steve Knapp's portrayal of the sensitive, strong. troubled Becket was moving and real; his character was one that the audience could iden- tify with and find in him much of themselves. Fine performances were given by Dan Mecklenborg, Dale Schuster, Jim Nunn, Cornelius Bieliauskas . . . the list could go on for a long time. So once more the LaSalle auditorium was transformed , and the audience could experience a new reality: hopefully a reality that would make them more aware of themselves and each other.
