Fund Drive Se+s New Records The results show a grand total of over $43 ,350. In a year when real financial support was needed the Lancer Commu- nity came through. The Senior class set the pace with MI. Pieper's homeroom . The Freshmen finished second making a real my and were probably responsible for the Seniors doing so well. MI. Kennedy's class aced out Bro. Paul's class and even overpowered the Seniors of Mr. Pieper's class. Tom Hasselbeck led the Sophomores and helped Mr. Canning's homeroom lead the Sophomore department. The Juniors fin- ished third in the School with Mr. Barlag and Mr. Broxter- man's classes selling junk to jewels to finish one and two in the Junior department. School leaders included; Bob Dorsey, Tom Hasselbeck, Dan Wissel, Mark Bollin, George Kam- mer, Mark Maly, Barry Taylor, Bill Kolb, and Mark San- ders. Mike Schneider makes one of many T.D . 's. Schneider was named Best Offensive Back while Wellbrock received the Khans Back of the Week award for his peIfOIm- an'ce in the Elder Game. Tim Rueve's cool ballhandling ena- bled the option offense to operate smoothly and very effi- ciently. The offensive line did an outstanding job behind the leadership of senior Mike LaRosa who was named Best Offenw sive Lineman. Jim Hautman, Steve Scheid, Craig GIeisl, and Tom Foertsch had a very good season as juniors with John Glankler named as Most Improved Junior. Defensive secondary turned in a fine year behind the efforts of seniors Paul King, Mike ShIoeck, Dave Arand, and the capable juniors like Rick Rechner. Mike Kirchner, and Andy Schoeling. Other awards given at the banquet were: Best Defensive Back - Randy Berding, Most Improved Senior - Dan Flynn, tand the Lancer Award given to Tim McCarthy. i r F i t i r . Soccer Finishes 4th n Citg This is the first year that LaSalle soccer team ever won a trophy. In the Hamilton County Soccer Tournament LaSalle managed to be one of the quartet finalist teams. We feel that our efforts were very well rewarded . 21
