All Work for Homecoming; Service of Games, Dances pep club this year. Pep assemblies, homecoming Hoats, the home- coming weekend7 the bonfire and spontaneous demonstrations at football games were some of the ways the members of the pep club promoted school spirit The IJOXMT club is the smallest of the service groups. However, what the club lacks in size it makes up for with hard work, Our corridors and bulletin boards are always enlivened by the bright and imaginative posters the group produces. The club engages only the more artistic 0f the La Salle students who use their various skills in the creation of the many posters seen in the school hallst They have helped to publicize most of the schooYS activities here at La 821110 and also at McAuIey and Mercy.

RPis, Pep, Poster Clubs Clubs Increase Spirit by Formed during the homecoming preparations and continuing their good work throughout the year, the RPR' are one of the busiest service groups in the school. This group, consisting of fourteen jun- iors with Brother Roland moderating, has been aiding the faculty with an inexhaustible source of energy. Besides setting up the gym for basketball games and cleaning up afterwards, this organization has operated the coat Check, built scenery for the play, set up for Mass and ushered at many social get- togethers of the school, They have also helped with decorations for various other activities. The ,9ch club is another of the service groups of the school. Mr. Schulte, the moderator, greatly expanded the membership in the 28

With the Cooperation of Sister Mary Emily of McAuley: and Sister Perpetual of Mother of Mercy, La Salle. at long last, had girl cheerleaders. At the hrst football assembly of the year, our boy cheer- Eeaders were introduced. along with four selected girls: Midge Honnert and Chcxyl Harland from Mercy, and Nancy Kummler and Barb Schneider from McAuley, Later, the addition of more boys and girls brought mem- bership of the cheerleading organization to twentwaour. The cheerleaders have greatly helped to develop a better feeling of school spirit around La Salle. The awards assembly at the end of the year was also es- pecially brightened by the presence of the girl cheerleaders.
