Greetings to Our Director... E, the Class of l948, deem it a special honor and privilege to welcome to La Salle our new Director, Brother Arnold Paul. Brother Patil comes to us from St. Raphael's in Pawtucket, where he spent six years as Director. Already, in the short time that Brother has been here at La Salle, he has shown executive ability by making several improvements in our scholastic program and in our extra-curricular activities. Brother Director has started a Glee Club and has revived the Dramatic Society. He is making every erlort to improve the looks ol' our school, remodeling the locker rooms and making various other improvements. He has expressed his desire to do everything he can for the benelit ol' all, and we know that he will. So we are indeed fortunate and thankful for having received such a zealous worker in the interests of La Salle, and we are sure that during Brother l'aul's stay at the Academy, the school and its students will prolit much by his guiding hand.

ur Chaplain . . . O Rev. Clement Slattery we reverently pay homage, well earned in his many years as chaplain of La Salle Academy. Father comes to us from Sacred Heart, Pawtucket. In good and bad weather, in good and bad health, but continually in good humor, we find Father Slattery ever in our midst. His fidelity to the cause he represents and exemplifies has endeared him in our hearts as our chaplain. Father Slattery has become as much a part of every Senior class, as have the teachers and pupils of that class. His weekly instruc- tion and forum have spread amongst the prospective graduates a knowledge of heretofore vague subjects, and has aided immensely in material ways. His continually open mind and heart have consoled and guided many souls treading the wrong path. Many of us have found that his wisdom is not confined strictly to spiritual matters, for he has helped us with domestic and personal problems as well. Students have learned to respect Father Slattery as a man, as a teacher, as a true friend, and as a representative of God. VVe now leave La Salle, knowing that we leave behind a man we shall always wish to remember, and knowing that the future Seniors will feel the same as we. Our thanks to Father Slattery.
