The strength of the Maroon line, particularly O'Neil, Pierik, and Florio, forced the Cranston team to resort to aerials. Smarting from its two successive defeats, La Salle came back and topped Cathedral High on two last-half touchdowns. Fred Thorpe went over for the first after a fine run by Powers had placed the ball in scoring position. Tom Powers and George Casparian played an outstanding game as defensive back and tackle, respectively. La Salle was held to a 0-0 tie by a fighting St. Raphael squad on a rain-swept gridiron.
