Anywhere and anytime, on campus or off, Az- tecs got into the spirit of high school life. We proved that we have a life beyond the books, if we can ' t beat the system, we Aztecs tried to make the best of it. Having spirit here on La Quinta ' s campus means more than getting dressed-up or going to the game. A man for all seasons Bill Struven Friendship comes in various forms. Stephanie Jung and Kristen Harkins are members of La Quinta Cross Country Team. Their friendship extends beyond the track as they take pride in each oth- er ' s accomplishments. Lunchtime is a time spent with friends, but some prefer to spend their thirty min- utes working with certain clubs or organi- zations.

, ' M, «r %L S ' - LA - ' When lunchtitne rolls around, Aztec variety becomes evident. Each has his own preferences and goes his own way. The favorite places to go for lunch are Jack-ln-the-Box and Taco Bell. Those who stay on campus may choose from the Student Store or the cafeteria. Despite differences, when activities are presented, all are welcomed to participate. There is more to lunchtime than simply devouring mass quantities of consumables. Noontime activities, sponsored by ASB are thematic contests, events and team competitions that envoke spirit and pride among La Quinta Students. These activities allow self-expression and group cohesiveness for the students.
