Art students applied their training by volun- teering to make posters and other art work. The musical groups performed at plays, concerts, and many community functions. The Homemaking Department with Mrs. Helen Black as chairman offered a course designed to build interest and skills in all areas of homemaking-foods and clothing, ' XY To give the students a general education in the practices of industrial economy was the aim of the Industrial Arts Department, according to Chairman Glenn Thornstrom. Through their work with various machines and tools students explored the field of in- dustry. The purpose of the Agriculture Department, under the chairmanship of John Sharon, was to give agricultural training to high school students.
