THROUGH THESE DOORS word to the subscribers from the staff: When we get time We’ll check and check This book the whole way through We’ll keep the pictures we like best And do away with you—and you— and maybe—even you! When we get time We’ll choose a theme And then we’ll carry on To decide the spelling of your name And which cartoon to put you on. When we get time We’ll work and work in rain or shine And put it all together We’ll paste and glue The whole night through For we don’t mind the weather. When we get time We’ll gloat and gloat O’er these things we have done The Reflector’s been delivered And the staff has had its fun. When we get time— However, these things must yet be done There are some jobs which we must do To complete this little rhyme — But we can’t finish writing this For we just haven’t time!
