In French class, one learns how to read, write and speak French. In the advanced class he asks and answers all questions in French. In Spanish class, as in French, one also learns to read, write, and speak Spanish. The Latin classes differ from other foreign language classes in that Latin is not spoken. However, Latin students obtain a thorough understanding of the English language through different grammatical exer- cises.
