Band The band brings added cheer to the home foot- ball games by presenting a marching show during the half time. They also play at the half of the basketball games. The annual band concert was presented in Feb- ruary, and in March the band gave a concert at John Adams High School in South Bend. Parades in which the band participated this year were the Fourth of July celebration, the Lights On” dedication, and the annual fall Pep Rally. A Cappella The A Cappella Choir is the leading singing or- ganization of the school system. It has shown re- markable versatility under the capable direction of Mr. David E. Simpson. In order to qualify for admission any freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior must pass a written test plus a private vocal audition. During first semester the A Cappella sang in the annual choral concert and also helped in the Music Booster Drive. In the spring the A Cappella presented a tribute to Rogers and Hammerstcin. Orchestra The high school orchestra composed of thirty stu- dents and directed by Mr. Robert McCuaig has played for a number of school and community func- tions this year.
