The library is in a state of confusion as the end of the six-weeks period approaches. Students hurry to pay fines, search madly for the book which they read last term and now desperately need to complete their course, and skim through magazine articles to find last minute reports. We do all this to improve that grade on those little yellow cards which we give to our parents every six weeks. How long can two years be? Ask any girl as she finishes her last day of gym. She will long remember running to Kiwanis Field for a rough game of soccer, getting back to school in five minutes, and taking a hurried cold-shower that somehow always seemed to leave her hair straight for the rest of the day.

Everyone tried to get into the parade. we whole-heartedly hack our teams; All Slicer athletes felt the tremendous amount of spirit that the student body exhibited in backing their teams throughout the school year. The cheerleaders and pep committee composed assemblies designed to give added inspiration to the Sliccrmen in their quest for victory. At the pep sessions the auditorium echoed the cheering of ardent fans as they prepared for the big game that evening. At the Civic Auditorium the Pepper Club and the Lcttcrmen united to form a backbone for the Slicer rooting section by sitting in reserved blocks in the student section. The Pepper Club was recognized by their waving of orange and black pompoms, and the Lettermcn, by their letter sweaters. L.P.H.S. enthusiastic (?) rooters and their cheerleaders (?) Page eleven
